College Park Fluoroscopy

Most interventional spine procedures such as epidurals involve an injection, which needs to be placed in a specific area to ensure results. Our College Park Chiropractors know the body well, but put safety as our top priority. This is why we use fluoroscopy during needle placement on the spine, one of the most delicate areas of the body.

What Is Fluoroscopy?

Fluoroscopy is a type of medical imaging that shows a continuous X-ray image on a monitor, giving a real-time view of the body. This allows our Chiropractors to properly place the needle and eliminate potential risk. This fluoroscopy procedure can also be used in orthopedic applications to verify the bones are in the correct position during in-office procedures.
But while some Chiropractors stop there, we at AICA College Park know that your health is more than one piece of your body. That’s why our Chiropractors have looked at all of the uses of this machine and have found a way to diagnose injuries faster by performing motion studies or observing and evaluating the joint in motion.
Our College Park Chiropractors can view a single or series of joints through a full range of motion to see if there is proper movement or lack thereof. They will also try to find any “sticking points” or lack of fluidity that may be an indication of recent injury.
